This Char Siu Pork was SO juicy, delicious and @thejoshelkin approved! This is a super easy version that can be used for fried rice, Char Siu Baos, or even something more creative.

1. Cut the pork shoulder lengthwise into 4 inch wide strips about 1 inch in thickness. The fattier the cut, the better here! 2. In a bowl combine oyster sauce, light soy sauce, hoisin sauce, brown sugar, garlic powder, kosher salt, five spice powder, Shaoxing wine, fermented bean curd and the liquid, and red gel food coloring. Mix until the marinade is smooth. 3. Place the pork shoulder in a plastic bag and pour in the marinade. Mix until the pork is completely coated and marinate for 6-8 hours (or overnight). 4. Preheat the oven to 425F and place the pork shoulder on an elevated wire rack. In a bowl mix together honey, maltose, and hot water and whisk until smooth. Bake the char siu for 30-45 minutes, flipping and basting with the glaze every 15 minutes. Add water to the bottom of the roasting tray to prevent the pork from drying out. 5. Broil for 5-10 minutes until charred and remove.
