The best of so many worlds combined! A recipe for combining classic lasagna with crispy mozzarella sticks, perfect for an appetizer or fun meal.

Step 1: Add the celery, onions and carrots to a medium high pan and cook for a few minutes, just until the vegetables start to soften. Add the meat (ground beef and Italian sausage) and cook for 5-7 minutes or just until the meat has browned. Add the tomato paste and Italian seasoning and mix well. Then mix in the tomato sauce and simmer for 5 minutes. Step 2: In a bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, mozzarella cheese, parmesan cheese, garlic paste, olive oil, and salt and pepper. Step 3: Use a loaf pan to layer the lasagna. Add sauce to the bottom, followed by a sheet of noodles. Add a layer of Ricotta cheese and repeat 3 times. For the top layer, add sauce and the remaining mozzarella cheese. Cover with foil and bake at 375°F for 25 minutes. Let the lasagna cool overnight. Step 4: Set up the dredging stations. In one bowl combine the breadcrumbs and remaining parmesan cheese. In another bowl combine the flour with Italian seasoning and in the third bowl the eggs and more Italian seasoning. Step 5: Slice the lasagna into 2 inch thick sticks and immediately coat in the flour, then the egg wash and then the Italian bread crumbs. Repeat for a double dredge if any part of the lasagna is showing. Step 6: Deep fry in 350°F oil for 3 minutes OR air fry at 400°F for 5 minutes each side.
