French Onion Soup Loaf

Step 1: Melt the butter on a medium pan and add the onions. Continue to cook for about 5 minutes or just until they start to soften. Add the thyme, garlic, salt, pepper and sugar and continue to cook until a darker brown color forms. Step 2: Add the better than bouillon, and white wine and continue to cook until a dark brown color forms. Step 3: Slice the bread in half and add the onion mixture onto each piece. In a separate bowl, combine the 3 cheeses and then add it on top of the onion mixture. Bake at 425 degrees F for 15-20 minutes, or just until the cheese is melted, bubbly and browned. Garnish with the remaining fresh thyme.
