Cheesy Christmas Tree Pretzel pocket

Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.

Step 1: Roll out pre-made pizza dough into a 1/2 inch sheet. Slice in 2 equal parts.

Step 2: Using a cookie cutter in the shape of a Christmas tree, and a block of Colby jack cheese, cut out small cheese trees.

Step 4: Place the small cheese trees on one sheet of dough, leaving enough room to cut out a larger tree around them.

Step 5: Cover the cheese-topped dough with the second piece of dough. Using a larger Christmas tree cookie cutter, cut out the trees, trying to keep the 2 pieces of dough together to form pockets.

Step 6: Add 1/2 cup of baking soda to 4 cups of water in a pot. Bring to a boil. Add the cheese trees and boil for about 30 seconds.

Step 7: Mix together 1 egg yolk with 1 tablespoon of water. Coat the trees in the egg wash. Sprinkle with coarse salt.

Step 7: Place the trees on a parchment paper lined baking tray. Bake for about 10 minutes.
