What you need

cup sugar

cup salted butter

cinnamon roll

cup heavy whipping cream

cup dark rum

cup water
Instructions
Step 1: Core the apples and slice them in half. Using a mandoline or knife, slice the apples into very thin pieces to resemble flower petals. Step 2: Unroll a cinnamon roll, and place the sliced apples along the dough, slightly overlapping each petal. Then roll the cinnamon dough back up, carefully keeping the apples in place to resemble a rose. Place the assembled roses in a muffin tray and bake at 350 degrees F (175 C) for 25 minutes. FOR THE SAUCE: Step 3: In a saucepan or pot, combine the sugar and water and slowly simmer until the sugar dissolves. Then crank up the heat and bring to a boil. When the mixture turns brown, stir in the butter until it’s melted. Turn off the heat, and stir in the heavy cream. When it’s all combined, add the rum and set aside to cool. Step 4: Take the roses out of the oven and let them sit for about 5 minutes. Then cover them generously with the salted rum caramel sauce.View original recipe
