Ketchup Doritos Cheese Stuffed Onion Rings. Now you get a taste of ketchup and cheese in every bite. If you don't have Ketchup Doritos, any Doritos flavor will work.
Preheat cooking oil to 350 degrees F. Combine 1 cup of flour, 2 tablespoons of corn starch and 1/2 cup of crushed Doritos in a bowl. Add 1 cup of sparkling water and combine until you have a batter. Crush up 1 cup of Doritos and put them in a separate bowl. Slice large onions length wise to get full rings. Slice cheddar or mozzarella cheese (I used both interchangeably) into circles thick enough to fit inside the ring. Dip the cheese rings into the batter and fully coat it. Put the coated ring into the dry Doritos crumbs and completely cover it. Put the coated rings into the hot oil for 1 minute.
